7th Annual New Paltz Regional Garden Tour cultivates inspiration

A capacious variety of midsummer botanical delights will be put on display as the Regional Chamber of Commerce Foundation at New Paltz presents the 7th Annual New Paltz Regional Garden Tour, on Sunday, July 11, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The Foundation’s Garden Tour offers area residents and visitors to the Hudson Valley a rare opportunity to admire and gain inspiration from the ingenuity, creativity and devoted effort of the talented gardeners in our community by opening the gate to some of the region’s most breathtaking and lovingly crafted private gardens.
The New Paltz Regional Garden Tour is proud to offer this exceptional opportunity to stroll spectacular Hudson Valley gardens tenderly cultivated and cared for by our community’s most talented “green thumbs.”  This year’s Tour will feature five dazzling private gardens in the Village and Town of New Paltz – the locations are kept secret until the day of the tour! – as well as scheduled and walk-in tours of the spectacular gardens at Mohonk Mountain House.  All Garden Tour attendees are invited to mingle and enjoy refreshments at an end-of-tour reception on the manicured grounds of Historic Huguenot Street.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the Tour.  Advance tickets are available for online purchase at www.newpaltzchamber.org, or in person at the Chamber office, 257 Main St., New Paltz; Handmade & More, 6 North Front Street, New Paltz; Antiques Barn at Water Street Market, 10 Main St., New Paltz; Ulster Savings Bank New Paltz Branch, 226 Main St., New Paltz; and Ulster Savings Bank Gardiner Branch, 2201 Rte 44/55, Gardiner.  Tickets on the day of the Tour may be purchased at the Chamber office only, from 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
